The village of Altluneberg was shaped by the manor at its center for many centuries. In 1980 however, the iron gates of the manor closed not to be opened for for decades. Theatre group Das Letzte Kleinod told the story of the rise and fall of the manor in a documentary theatre piece. For the performance the manor was opened to the public for the very first time.
