Where the Imperial Court Train was stationed and maintained

The imperial court train was steamed day and night, so that the popularly named “travel emperor” Wilhelm II could drive at any time across Europe. The story of the last German Emperor and his escape to the Netherlands is now told in an exciting play at a historic location. The railway theater Das Letzte Kleinod comes on June 27 with its own train to Potsdam, is played in and around train cars. In keeping with the history of the train is right next to the wagon halls of the former Reichsbahnausbesserungswerkes, where the Imperial Court train was stationed and maintained until 100 years ago.

Hermine’s fate brings Wilhelm*ina to Frankfurt

The thrilling story which has sparked worldwide interest and ends Frankfurt will be staged in twelve railway coaches on the area of the former lokomotive repair shop in Briesener Strasse. WILHELM*INA tells about the flight and exile of the last german emperor in the Netherlands. His second wife, empress Hermine was put under arrest in Frankfurt by the russians and died there two years after the End of the Second World War.

The Oceanblue Train goes as the imperial train on tour

For the play WILHELM*INA german and dutch contemporary witnesses and their descendants were interviewed and told about their impressions of the emperor, his exile and the significance to nowadys.

The bilingual team works at the moment on the play, which will premiere on june 21, 2018 in Frankfurt (Oder), before it goes on tour through Germany and the Netherlands.

The history of Russians of German heritage was shown for one week in four good wagons on the Lessingfestival in Wolfenbüttel.

In autumn 2018 the play goes on a journey to the trainstations in the region of Elbe-Weser-Dreieck.

Gesalzene Wassermelonen – rehearsals started

Das Letzte Kleinod is tracking the German Minority in Kazakhstan and discovers the life of people in deportation. The actors and director Jens-Erwin Siemssen are looking for motives and settings in Breddorf and Geestenseth, are chopping and sawing wood, building huts of soil and places to sleep in straw. Gesalzene Wassermelonen will premiere the 6th of May at the Lessingfestival 2018 in Wolfenbüttel.
